The City of Carbondale is rolling out its annual residential spring clean-up starting May first, giving residents a chance to clear out household junk. The program runs each Friday through May 22nd, with pickup scheduled based on regular refuse routes. City officials say items should be placed curbside no earlier than five days before pickup and no later than 7 a.m. on collection day. Crews will handle general household waste, but electronics, hazardous materials, tires, appliances, and construction debris are off limits. Residents who don’t follow placement rules could face city code violations, and officials are reminding people not to block sidewalks or drainage areas during the cleanup period.
