Marion, IL: The Salvation Army of Southern Illinois is bringing style, purpose, and community together for an unforgettable evening at its upcoming “Thrifted and Thriving” Fashion Show, hosted inside the Marion Thrift Store.
This sold-out event will welcome more than 80 attendees and feature 17 local models showcasing carefully curated looks—all sourced from the Thrift Store. More than just a fashion show, this event highlights the life-changing impact of thrift store operations, which help fund critical services for individuals and families across Southern Illinois.
Guests will also hear a powerful testimony from DeeEllen White, a Marion resident who lost her home in last year’s devastating May tornado. Through the support of The Salvation Army, DeeEllen found hope and stability during one of the most difficult seasons of her life. Her story serves as a reminder that behind every donation and every purchase is a real person whose life is being restored.
“Thrifted and Thriving” is a celebration of resilience, generosity, and the belief that everyone deserves dignity, hope, and a fresh start. The evening promises to be both inspiring and joyful—complete with over 25 raffle items generously donated by local businesses and nonprofits.
