MT. VERNON – Downtown Mt. Vernon is set to come alive September 26–27 as the “Small Town, Common Ground” Fall Fest returns with two days of music, food, parades, and family fun. From the classic car Cruise-In to the much-anticipated Fall Fest Parade, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at Jefferson County’s biggest community celebration.

Live Music on the SSM Health Good Samaritan Stage

The Fall Fest stage will host a mix of national and local talent throughout the weekend:

  • Friday, September 26 – King Kaiju – 5:15 p.m. and E5C4P3 (Journey Tribute Band) – 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, September 27 – John Spicer & Friends – 2:30 p.m., Shannon Arview Band – 5:00 p.m. and  David Lee Murphy – 8:00 p.m. (headliner)

Events and Attractions

  • Monken Toyota Cruise-In – Friday, Sept. 26 | 5–8 p.m. — Classic cars, trucks, and motorcycles will line the streets at this annual favorite.
  • Monken Toyota Vendor Marketplace – Friday, Sept. 26 | 5–8 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 27 | 9 a.m.–8 p.m. — Browse booths with crafts, goods, food, and more from local vendors.
  • United Way Midway & Kids Zone – Friday, Sept. 26 | 5–7 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 27 | 9 a.m.–Noon & 3–7 p.m. — Free inflatables, games, and family fun at The Commons.
  • Chamber of Commerce Beer & Wine Tent – Friday, Sept. 26 | 5–10 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 27 | 11 a.m.–10 p.m. — A gathering spot for adults to enjoy local brews and wine.
  • Deaconess Illinois Crossroads Small Town, Common Ground Parade – Saturday, Sept. 27 | 1 p.m. — Marching bands, floats, and community groups parade from 7th & Main to Newby Avenue.
