CARBONDALE – A woman is facing charges including Possession of Methamphetamine after Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies recently responded to a home on Peach Lane in rural Carbondale for a trespassing report.

The sheriff’s office says around 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 4, deputies learned that Cathleen D. Baumbeck had unlawfully entered the home while the resident was inside sleeping. Witnesses confronted Baumbeck, who then left the home. Deputies found her at a nearby home.
During her arrest, Baumbeck became combative and resisted deputies’ efforts to take her into custody. Baumbeck was taken to and lodged in the Williamson County Jail.
A search conducted at the jail by a female officer revealed a baggie containing a white, crystal-like substance, which field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
Besides the meth charge, Baumbeck was charged with Criminal Trespass to Residence and Resisting a Peace Officer.
