ELDORADO – Funeral arrangements for late Eldorado Fire Chief Michael McKinnies have been announced. 

According to the Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado, visitation will run from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Duff-Kingston Gym in Eldorado with the funeral set for Saturday at 1 p.m. at the gym. A walk through for other fire departments will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Burial will be held at the Raleigh Masonic Cemetery in Raleigh. 

McKinnies passed away Saturday. He was 71. He served as fire chief for almost 30 years He also served as vice-chairman of the Saline County Board for almost 20 years.
