HERRIN – A man was taken into custody Thursday after Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies found meth, drug paraphernalia, cash and other items used in the illegal narcotics trade during a search of a home in the 400 block of North 11th Street in Herrin.

According to the sheriff’s office, Joel J. Copley was cited for Delivery of Methamphetamine and Possession of Methamphetamine – both felonies- and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – a misdemeanor. Copley was booked into the Williamson County Jail.

Authorities say the home and its occupant were the subject on an ongoing investigation into meth trafficking and sold meth several times to undercover deputies.
