VIENNA – No injuries were reported following a partial building collapse in Vienna Thursday afternoon.

According to Vienna Police, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call just before 2 p.m. about an abandoned and unoccupied two story building located at 124 N. 4th St. partially collapsing.

Police along with first responders and city officials responded to the scene.

Vienna Mayor Steve Penrod issued an executive order prohibiting occupancy at the buildings on both sides of the partially collapsed building which includes the State Farm office and Cross Creek Antiques until the structures are appropriately evaluated.
